Jesse J. Harwood, 61, Rt 3, Crawfordsville, died Tuesday morning in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. Harwood was an employee of Sommer Metalcraft. He was born Aug 1, 1917 in Montgomery County, son of Harry E. and Clara G. Williams Harwood. On August 31, 1940, he was married to the former Catherine Maxwell. He had attended New Market schools. Survivors are his wife; his mother, Clara Harwood of Crawfordsville; four sons, Jack Harwood, Richard Harwood and James Harwood, all of Crawfordsville are and Allen Harwood of Mandarin, FL; a daughter, Bonnie Wilson of Crawfordsville; a sister, Vera Harwood of Logansport; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and granddaughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. - kbz
